Rob Knoops
Rob Knoops was born in Belgium and has studied at the Belgium universities of Hasselt and Leuven, where he received his PhD in theoretical physics. Worked as a mathematician at Geneva University (2014-2016). Worked as a theoretical physicist at CERN (2011-2016), the European Centre for Nuclear Research, where thousands of scientists from all over the world collaborate to answer some of nature’s most fundamental questions. Currently a researcher at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, doing research in supersymmetry with applications to particle physics and cosmology. Knoops is fascinated by the strange ways nature behaves when you zoom in on very closely on it to the quantum level. He is part of theoretical physicists, whose main tools are chalk and blackboards to try to understand nature by using logic and mathematics.
