Evan P. Nadler
Dr. Evan P. Nadler, MD, MBA, is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric obesity treatment and metabolic surgery. As former co-director of the Children’s National Obesity Programs and director of the Children and Adolescent Weight Loss Surgery Program at Children’s National Hospital (2009–2023), he helped redefine how healthcare systems address childhood obesity. A tenured associate professor of surgery and pediatrics at George Washington University, Dr. Nadler now focuses on developing comprehensive pediatric obesity programs, authoring a forthcoming book on the subject, and using media and education to combat the obesity epidemic. His passion began with a single moment of realization at a Florida hotel pool—an awakening that inspired a lifelong mission to “do something” about America’s rising childhood obesity crisis.
